What is legalisation
Legalisation of scales is a confirmation from the Office of Measures that the
scales used by us in commercial activity work correctly and precisely weighs
goods with the accuracy determined on the rating plate. The measurement error of the device must not be greater than the parameter "e" or "d", usually referred to as "grading".
As experts in this field, having extensive experience in production, servicing and verification of scales, we provide you with full support, technical advice and periodic inspections of equipment. Legalisation of scales is important as the lack of an appropriate certificate and simultaneous use of such a device in trade exposes the user to large financial penalties - from both the Office of Measures and other administrative units.
Vehicle, livestock, industrial and retail scales are classified according to the Regulation of the Minister of Economy, Labour and Social Policy as class III.
In order to be legalised (in accuracy class III) the scale must meet the following condition:
- The number of legalisation gradings ('e' or 'd') may not exceed 3000, which is usually provided by the manufacturer of the scale.
It is worth remembering to make sure that our scales meet all the required standards before proceeding with legalisation. If this is not the case, then regardless of the results of metrological control, the scale will not receive a certificate of verification, and its user will be charged with the costs.
Calibration of scales - an activity, in contrast to legalisation, voluntary, carried out at any stage of operation of the device. Its purpose is to determine errors of indication at certain measuring points, errors that result from non-centric load and allows to determine the repeatability parameter.
Thanks to checking all parameters of the scale, we are able to determine its effectiveness and precision of measurements.
